I have a weakness for cute characters, tiny figures, miniature worlds, and collectibles that make me want to start another shelf even when I definitely don’t need one.
That can mean a new Funko figure, a Calico Critters set, a blind-box miniature, or a particularly satisfying NeeDoh.
How My Blog Started
ChibiCrafts originally started as a place for me to write about crafts.
Sublimation printing was a big part of that. Those older guides are still here because they’re part of the site, and I still enjoy making things.
Over time, I started paying more attention to toys and collectibles, from miniatures and character figures to sensory toys and squishies. Eventually it made more sense to let ChibiCrafts grow with my interests instead of keeping it strictly a craft blog.
I don’t want this site to be limited to one hobby. It’s a personal blog, so it changes a little when my interests do.
What I Write About
These days, you’ll find a mix of toys and collectibles on ChibiCrafts. I like Funko, miniature sets, cute figures, blind boxes, Calico Critters, NeeDoh, fidgets, and whatever else manages to send me down a rabbit hole.
Sometimes I want to compare different versions or releases of the same thing. Other times I want to figure out what is actually included in a set, which characters exist, how something feels in person, how to take care of it, or whether it’s worth buying at its current price. Those very specific questions are usually the ones I find most interesting myself.
I also share products I think are worth looking at. If I don’t like something, I’ll say that too. A company offering an affiliate commission or sending me a product doesn’t buy a positive opinion.
A Little More About Me
Outside ChibiCrafts, I study English literature and culture at university and love traveling around Europe whenever I get the chance.
I also spend an unreasonable amount of time trying to convince my partner that we need a kitten. I’m still working on that one.
ChibiCrafts is a small business, but it is also very much my personal project. I write the site myself and choose what I want to cover. Every visit, message, comment, and purchase through one of my affiliate links helps me keep working on it, and I genuinely appreciate the support.
